MOVIES, HIGH FIVE....

Love’s not time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks

Within his bending sickle’s compass come:

Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,

But bears it out even to the edge of doom.

If this be error and upon me proved,

I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

William Shakespeare, Sonnet 116

These are my five favorite movies. I really had hard time in picking five.

1. GHOST

I have always wondered why is this movie always tops my favorite list. Every year on Valentines Day, I watch this movie alone in my room having pop corn. It has become a Valentine Day tradition for me. The casting was so perfect – Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg. Who can forget that famous potter wheel romance scene with song “Unchained Melody”. You don’t believe then check out this link.

I get incredibly emotional whenever I watch this movie. RIP Patrick Swayze, I always loved you, now I will love you more, You always live for ever in our hearts.

2. DEAD POETS SOCIETY

“It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.” said Dumbledore.

If you don’t have any clue (literally) what it means just check the link below. It shows that, I mean literally, standing up on top of bench saluting their teacher who taught them how to dream, who taught them to live beyond the text books (Climax 5 minutes, don’t miss one of the best climax ever). It makes me cry every time I watch this. Oh Captain! my Captain! I salute thee. Thank you boys, Thank you.

3. IF ONLY

Another tear jerker!!!! I cant believe why my list contains only tear jerker. They say all romantic tales have sad ending. How true. The lead actress says speaks my words “I don't want to be adored, I want to be loved.” Love this movie.

4. PRETTY WOMAN

This has a happy ending. Richard Gere and Julia Roberts, I don’t think any other couple would match them. I love each and every scene, especially the last one when Edward climbs up the fire escape and meets Vivian.

5. DIRTY DACING

Greatest dance movie ever to be made. Great songs, great scenes, great love and passion ( at least on the screen, Off screen the “lovers” used to fight and producers had tough time..lol). Climax scene, according to wiki, is regarded as "the most goosebump-inducing dance scene in movie history.”

EPILOGUE

Beauty is truth, truth beauty,—that is all

Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.
